We've received news that Adobe will discontinue Adobe Animate on March 1st, 2026, and technical support will end on March 1st, 2027.

This is the end of an era, as Adobe Animate (previously known as Flash) has been a valuable piece of software for animators and developers for many years. This decision will impact Adobe's reputation, which was damaged already.

I used Flash to create the art and animations for BallDog!, our first mobile game, and it was a great experience. I really hope users will be able to find alternative tools!
